The hopeful theatre project
little shop of horrors (2025)
beauty and the beast (2024)
Role: Scenic Carpenter
As a scenic carpenter with The Hopeful Theatre Project, I contributed to two productions by supporting key structural and installation elements. For Beauty and the Beast, I constructed performance tables and the base framework for rotating periaktoi used throughout the show. In Little Shop of Horrors, I played a larger role, assisting with the installation of the primary set structure and contributing to the construction of custom audience seating areas. Both projects emphasized adaptability, precision, and collaborative problem-solving in a fast-paced production environment.

Little Shop of Horrors
Artisan Center Theater, October-November, 2022
Role: Resident Scenic Carpenter, Scenic Artist
As lead scenic carpenter for this production, I was responsible for executing the scenic build from concept to completion. My work included overseeing the construction of key structural elements, ensuring safety and durability for performance, and collaborating closely with the design team to bring the vision to life. This production required creative problem-solving to accommodate unique staging needs and integrate specialty elements, including moving pieces and plant puppetry support. The result was a bold, immersive environment that supported both the humor and horror of the story.

Tuck evelasting
Artisan Center Theater, August-September 2022
Role: Lead Scenic Carpenter, Scenic Artist
I joined the production team for Tuck Everlasting midway through the build process to help accelerate a delayed scenic timeline. My primary responsibilities included constructing key scenic elements such as the attic space, silo, tree stump, and central house structure—each designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia and natural wonder in line with the show’s themes. I also collaborated closely with set designer Joseph Laws on the creation and detailing of the large central compass that anchored the stage visually and symbolically. My role required adaptability, problem-solving, and efficient execution to meet production deadlines while maintaining the design’s integrity.
